VET4Succession

VET4Succession is a proposal submitted to the European Education and Culture Executive Agency on 3 September 2026 under call ERASMUS-EDU-2026-PEX-COVE. The proposal has not yet been evaluated. No funding decision has been taken.

Eight nodes, twenty-two organisations

Twenty-two organisations in eight member states have prepared this proposal. They are grouped into eight regional nodes, one per country.

Each node has a Regional Captain, who would chair the Regional VET4Succession Council for that node and connect the work to regional education authorities, chambers and companies.

Each node combines three kinds of organisation: a vocational education provider, a chamber or business association with direct access to SMEs, and in most nodes a higher education institution. That combination is what allows a node to design a qualification, test it with real companies, and argue for its recognition. Hanse-Parlament in Hamburg would coordinate the consortium.

The abbreviations used here are the ones used throughout the proposal and in the work package table.

How the consortium would be governed A Steering Committee with one representative per beneficiary takes strategic decisions and is chaired by the coordinator. An independent external evaluator reports to it in month 24 and month 48. Below the coordinator the consortium is organised in two tiers: eight Regional Captains coordinate the partners of their own node, and five work package leaders hold technical responsibility. Each node also constitutes a Regional VET4Succession Council of VET providers, employers and public authorities. Steering Committee One representative per beneficiary, chaired by the coordinator Independent external evaluator, M24 and M48 Coordinator Hanse-Parlament, Hamburg Eight Regional Captains One per node, working in its own language Monthly call with the coordinator Five work package leaders Technical responsibility for one work package spread across five nodes, not held centrally Eight Regional VET4Succession Councils VET providers, employers and public authorities in each node. Constituted in the first year, intended to continue beyond the project.
The coordinator holds eight reporting relationships rather than 22. Each Regional Captain is responsible for the partners in their own country.
