Accessibility

We want this site to be usable by everyone, including people using screen readers, keyboard navigation or high contrast settings.

We are not legally required to publish an accessibility statement. We publish one because several organisations in the consortium are public bodies with their own obligations, and because a site about vocational education should be reachable by the people it describes.

What we aim for

This site is built to meet WCAG 2.1 level AA. In practice that means text contrast of at least 4.5 to 1, full operation by keyboard, a visible focus indicator, text alternatives for all images, a correct heading structure, data tables with proper headers, and text that reflows without loss of content at 400 per cent zoom. The site loads no fonts, scripts or media from external servers, so it works with strict browser settings and on slow connections.

What we have not yet done

The site has not been tested by an independent accessibility auditor, and it has not been tested with assistive technology by people who use it daily. We describe our design target, not a verified result.

Tell us about a problem

If any part of this site is difficult or impossible for you to use, write to contact@hanse-parlament.eu and describe the page and the problem. We will reply and say what we can do. If we cannot fix something, we will say so and why.

Alternative access

If you need information from this site in another form, ask us and we will send it by email as plain text or as a tagged PDF.
